This is my prized possession. As an artist I've always considered myself a painter (though i have only completed a handful). This is my favorite. Out of all my art this is the piece i am most proud of.
I conceived this idea from looking into a puddle one day. I then painted the puddle in the shape of West Lake Okoboji, where i grew up. acrylic on canvas 2'x3' Aprox. 50 hrs. edit: 7-18-09, photoshopped reflection background to keep the eye movement in the frame |
